| Resolution – Urging NYS to Reduce Unfundated Mandates (DOC – 25.0 KB) This resolution is an updated version encouraging all parties, state and local, to enact legisaltion so that fiscal responsibility for services resides with the level of government that has the decision making authority over those services; this will in turn reduce the property tax burden and not rpeserve the status quo. |
| Resolution – Opposition to National Grid Pole Attachment Rate Increase (DOC – 26.5 KB) This resolution adamantly opposes any annual attachment rate for wire line attachments located in the communications space on electric distribution pole plant of National Grid due to the adverse effect said increase would have on providing desired communication services to the rural communities of the Adirondacks. |
| Resolution – Opposition to Fee Purchase of Former Finch & Follensby Pond Lands (DOC – 31.5 KB) This resolution opposes the fee acquisition by the state of the former Finch & Follensby Pond lands; urges the APA to insure compliance with the SLMP by opposing the proposed DEC fee purchase of highly productive timberland; and urges the Governor to directly intercede on behalf of the taxpayers of New York by directing state agencies to reject the proposed purchase of the former Finch & Follensby lands. |
| Resolution – Support of Rail Preservation (DOC – 30.0 KB) This resolution supports the preservation and rehabilitation of all surviving rail infrastructure in the Adirondacks that will facilitate the creation of badly needed employment in this highly distressed area of New York, tap the use of rail as a green form of transportation for freight, restore historic infrastructure to promote tourism and further bolster the sustainability of our communities. |
