Welcome New York State Agency rep…
The Adirondack Association of Towns and Villages (AATV) thanks your for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about how we work with New York State agencies and departments to advance the needs of those that work, live and play in the Adirondacks.
AATV recognizes the important role you play in executing and implementing the mandates coming from the Governor’s Office as well as the Legislature. Your daily work to fulfill your mission on behalf of all New York residents is well understood by AATV and we wish to be your partner in helping to understand local Adirondack need as well as how best to effectuate that change.
For many, the Adirondacks is a place to get away, to escape for a long weekend the daily grind of suburban and city life. Adirondack towns and villages rely on this tourism and economic development for sustainable living. However, what is often overlooked is that the 6 million acres of Adirondack landscape is a year-round home to over 125,000 New Yorkers who call the mountains home. Their needs for affordable housing, reliable cell service/broadband connectivity, health care, child care and meaningful educational opportunities K-post-graduate, as well as elder care and senior support systems (to name a few) require your advocay in Albany.
Please revisit this page before the end of 2024 to access resources to assist in your support of Adirondack initiatives.
